University of Denver Experts Available for Women’s History Month, March Madness and More.

For the month of March, faculty experts at the University of Denver are eager to talk about a variety of topics including, how women’s issues will impact this year’s election, gender and economic empowerment and the psychology and economic impact of March Madness.  

Women’s Issues for 2024 Election  

In the first presidential election since the overturning of Roe v. Wade, women are getting ready to head to the polls. Sara Chatfield, a political science professor who specializes in the intersection of gender and politics, is ready to talk to the media about this year’s presidential election.

Gender and the Economy 

In celebration of Women's History Month, our expert in gender and economics, Paula Cole can discuss the significant economic contributions of women. From the value of caregiving to the economics of abortion, Cole’s expertise will illuminate the economic value of women in societies.

From a social work perspective, Jennifer Greenfield is passionate about how policies shape the human experience. From advocating for paid family leave to minimum wage policy, Greenfield’s research focuses on the intersections of health and wealth disparities.

With March Madness captivating sports enthusiasts, our sports psychology experts, Mark Aoyagi and Jamie Shapiro can offer unique insights into the mental game behind successful tournament performances. From handling pressure to maintaining focus, Aoyagi and Shapiro can provide strategies for athletes, coaches and fans alike.
