We have now been back on campus for several weeks and returning to an on-campus environment has a different meaning and elicits different emotions for each of us. This week, we are honored to play a role in the Chancellor’s Inauguration celebration. The energy and spirit of this great community is palpable, and that is tremendously rewarding for the hard work the team has put into this event.

Fueled by the general excitement and energy around the return to campus, Inauguration, Homecoming, and many other campus celebrations and events, our team has been hard at work, exploring the ways in which we’ve come to communicate internally. Trying to find the silver lining in this dreadful COVID time period, our team has been learning and experimenting with different podcast subjects, cadences of The Bridge, and slightly modifying campus-wide email communication.

Now, as we usher in the next era of DU, we must look deeper at the ways in which we connect with one another as a community. Therefore, as a division, we are collecting data from our on-campus communication counterparts on their thoughts regarding how we can improve our internal communication efforts. Their feedback will be analyzed and used to construct plans for future enhancements. In the future, we hope to expand our survey efforts to include broader groups of stakeholders, better understanding how DU community members engage with campus information.
