Dear DU community members,

Today we reflect on the sacrifices and bravery of those who have served in our armed forces. Veterans Day offers us the opportunity to share our gratitude with those have served and those who serve now. We honor them for their heroism and sacrifice.

Since 2016, DU’s community of student veterans, dependents, active-duty service members, and reservists has steadily grown to close to 500 individuals. And we are proud that DU routinely ranks as a top-100 school for veterans and active-duty service members. This is in large part thanks to our Veterans and Military Resource department, which is dedicated to connecting the veteran community at DU, providing student and career mentorship, as well as support resources and much more.

To DU’s veteran community, we are proud of you and grateful to you. You bring to this institution a valuable and unique set of skills, experiences, and perspectives, and we are honored to work, learn, and teach alongside you. Thank you for your service.

Sincerely,

Jeremy Haefner, Chancellor
