Announcement  •

Dear DU faculty and staff,

The University of Denver (DU) will be launching our 2022 Faculty and Staff Employee Engagement Survey on March 14, 2022, and we want to hear from you, our valued faculty and staff. You will have until April 4 to complete your survey.

DU’s has decided to participate in the Great Colleges to Work For program, a national survey designed to recognize institutions that have built great workplaces. Whether or not we are recognized, the data we receive will be helpful as we continue the process of creating the best workplace possible. This is a follow-up engagement survey to the survey administered in 2018; the pandemic postponed the planned April 2020 survey.

As we continue to contend with a global pandemic and budget shortfalls from the economic downturn, we remain committed to taking care of our students and our faculty and staff. Therefore, we view this survey as a great opportunity to assess the climate of our campus after two years of unforeseen challenges and to demonstrate our willingness to listen to your concerns.

You will receive an invitation via email from Great Colleges on March 14 containing instructions on how to take the online survey. The survey can also be completed in Spanish.

Once you receive your invitation, please spare 10 minutes to complete the survey. Your input is very important and will be taken seriously as we continue to create a learning and workplace environment of which we can all take pride. This is a chance to make your voice heard, and a high response rate helps ensure an accurate representation of our community. At the close of the program, we will receive topline reports that summarize the organizational competencies and relationships that most directly impact and influence our culture.

The survey is voluntary and completely confidential; our institution will not be able to trace results back to individuals. Your survey will be processed by ModernThink LLC, an independent management consulting firm focusing on workplace quality in higher education. They can be reached at 888.684.4658 or at surveys@modernthink.net

We encourage your participation and hope you will take this opportunity to share your honest feedback! Thank you, in advance. Please contact Ken Pinnock at ken.pinnock@du.edu, or visit www.GreatCollegesProgram.com, if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Mary Clark
