Seth Masket

Seth Masket is an expert on party nominations and primary elections. He put out a book in 2020 on the Democratic Party and its presidential nomination contest that year, and he is currently working on a book about the Republican Party as it prepares for 2024. He researches parties at the national, state, and local level, and also looks at polarization in Congress and state legislatures. He has also researched campaigns and elections, campaign spending, and advertising. 

He writes frequently for public audiences at Politico, NBC, the LA Times, the Denver Post, and at his Substack newsletter Tusk. He also appears occasionally on TV news interviews and podcasts.
