Learning and Development (Strategic Human Resources)
Gain insight into how adults process information and develop the skills needed to address adult learning needs through the learning and development program. You'll learn key adult learning theories and ideas, as well as find ways to apply them to your own work. You'll also develop the skills necessary to identify and implement the most effective techniques and strategies for achieving learning objectives. Integrating traditional training strategies with more modern technologies, you'll work through the entire process of effective assessment, from design to delivery and from implementation to evaluation.
Beyond developing the skills and knowledge necessary to understand and facilitate adult learning, you'll also have the opportunity to improve your communication skills and learn how to effectively execute complex projects. You can earn your MS in strategic human resources with a concentration in learning and development entirely online or in the evenings on campus through the University of Denver's University College. Beyond coursework dedicated to learning and development, you also can choose electives from HR areas, including employment relations, management and operations. You also can pursue this master's concentration through the MA in communication management program.
