Public Relations

Go beyond simply assessing brand and instead shape and manage it. Maximize the impact of an organization's reputation and manage its identity through the public relations program. You'll learn practical strategies to help you connect with influencers, leverage mass media, and engage in digital and traditional PR tactics to help spread your message. Using the principles of persuasion and best practices, tactics and strategies, you'll develop insight into how to craft campaigns and measure the results.

As you move through the program, you'll have the opportunity to develop PR strategies that can be applied across a variety of paradigms. You can earn your MA in communication management with a concentration in public relations entirely online or in the evenings on campus through the University of Denver's University College. Beyond the coursework dedicated to public relations, you can also choose electives from other communication areas, including marketing and organizational communication.
