DU Hockey Wins Record-Breaking 10th National Championship
In April 2024, the University of Denver hockey team shut out Boston College 2-0 to win their 10th national title — becoming the first program to reach the milestone.
The People of DU
DU fans came out in droves to cheer on our NCAA DI championship ice hockey team at our home rink: Magness Arena.
Each year, DU students and alumni alike return for a fall homecoming weekend of community festivities, including the Crimson Classic 5K.
The university’s longest-running and largest student club, the Alpine Club has been encouraging DU students to explore the great outdoors since 1928. Alpine Club members head to the mountains to enjoy downhill and Nordic skiing, ice climbing, dog sledding, hiking, whitewater rafting, and more.
DU offers 30 club teams and seasonal intramural sports, which span from ice hockey and soccer to flag football, lacrosse, and figure skating.
A much-loved DU tradition since 1961, Winter Carnival gives students the chance to come together at a local ski resort for a weekend of snow sports.
