Announcement  •

Dear DU community members,

So much in the world has changed since I last provided an update on our work to combat sexual assault and gender violence in the University of Denver Community. But even as we navigate the present moment’s challenges, we remain steadfast in upholding our commitments from earlier this year.

Today, I would like to share an update on the progress we have made since March, which you can view here.

Thank you to the many across campus involved in this work, including the leaders of the wecanDUbetter campaign, which bravely brought to light these important issues.

I am proud of how far we have come. I also recognize we still have more to do. We will keep the DU community routinely appraised of our progress and, as always, I ask for your feedback and ideas for how we can make our campus safer.

Let us—through our words and actions—continue to affirm our commitment to non-discrimination, equal opportunity, respect and dignity for all, and to supporting survivors.

Sincerely,

Jeremy Haefner,

Chancellor
