Update on DU's Web Overhaul Project for June 2021
Momentum on the website migration continues. We have launched eight sites, which represent 68 pages since our May communication. We launched several sites for the College of Arts Humanities and Social Sciences (CAHSS), and we are more than 90% complete with their sites. We also launched sites for the Josef Korbel School of International Studies and the Conflict Engagement and Resolution Initiative. In May, we launched:
- Korbel: Crossley Center
- Korbel: Scrivner Institute of Public Policy
- Korbel: Center on American Politics
- CAHSS: Denver Publishing Institute
- Conflict Engagement and Resolution Initiative
In June, we launched three sites for CAHSS, including:
The team has launched 113 websites and 10,217 pages since Drupal’s initial go-live in September 2018. There are a total of 65 sites remaining to be launched — 44 sites led by Fastspot and 21 sites led by MarComm, which include Law Libraries, University Libraries and the Daniels College of Business.
Due to staffing changes in MarComm, additional projects were shifted to Fastspot, accounting for an increase in the number of remaining sites for Fastspot as compared to last month’s communication. As we onboard new team members, we will continue to reevaluate and refine the project roadmap. We do expect that the overhaul and migration will be delayed as we onboard new team members to vital positions. Up-to-date information, including the site prioritization summary, project roadmap and a weekly progress checklist, can be found in PioneerWeb -> Website Governance.
The Web Governance Group has transitioned to monthly meetings this summer and will continue to focus on ensuring the success of this project and our entire website ecosystem.
