We support the design and administration of most institutional surveys. Our staff can help you develop a survey plan to answer a variety of questions about members of the DU community and the programs that serve them.

Access to Campus Constituents
The Office of the Provost only permits access to campus constituents for surveys that further institutional needs, goals, or operations. Campus constituents include:
- Students (current and prospective)
- Faculty members
- Staff members
- Friends of the University
For more information, please review the University's policy on access to campus constituents.
Review of Institutional Surveys
Our office schedules and reviews all institutional surveys of campus constituents except those for event registration and academic assessment. The purpose of the review process is to:
- Ensure compliance with regulations governing human research
- Avoid conflicts with institutionally-sponsored projects
- Avoid over-surveying campus constituents
Surveys that will be used to collect information for research may also require approval by the Institutional Review Board (IRB). During our review of your survey, we will help you determine if your project will also require IRB approval.
