DU in the news
(July 16, 2013) Sometimes when the University of Denver is in the news, the topic raises divergent points of view. As an employee, you may get asked about these news stories, including the University's position on the topic of the news. Regardless of the topic, you can be assured that as an institution of higher education, we are a neutral convener and present multiple points of view. We encourage and promote civil discourse among diverse individuals to foster intellectual growth, which furthers our dedication to serving the public good.
We are committed to providing our students, faculty, staff, alumni and community with an inclusive environment where all feel welcome to share their views. We value and respect the experiences and opinions of our diverse community. So when you see news that generates comments along a spectrum of opinions, you can know that the University is doing its job.
