Pioneer ID Card

Please note, the ID Office will be closed from 11 AM-noon on Friday, December 3rd. Additionally, the ID Office will close at noon for the rest of the day on Friday, December 17th, in alignment with the university.

The Pioneer ID Card is your official identification while at the University of Denver. All DU constituents including students, faculty, staff and are REQUIRED to carry their ID card while on campus. Due to social distancing requirements, contact tracing and COVID-19 safety measures, access to all campus buildings and facilities are locked and require a Pioneer ID Card to enter. Pioneer ID Office has modified our processes and operations to ensure the safety of students, faculty, and staff.  Below are key points about obtaining your DU Pioneer ID Card as well as updates regarding ID Office operations.

If you have an ID Card but it is not working to help you access buildings, you should

  1. View your Covid Clearance status on Pioneerweb. Once you have logged in, under the "Home" tab, there will be a link titled "Campus Access Status" where you can see all the details of your Covid Clearance. If your status does not indicate "CLEARED", please email covidcoordinator@du.edu for assistance regarding your Covid Clearance status.
  2. If you are cleared to return to campus as outlined on Pioneerweb but your card does not work, please email cardaccess@du.edu and CC pcard@du.edu for further assistance.

New students, faculty, and staff should submit photos digitally whenever possible. Photo submission instructions can be found here. Once a photo is accepted and you are cleared to be on-campus by the Covid Coordinator team, you may pick up your card anytime during our business hours. Our office is located in the Driscoll South Building, 2050 East Evans Ave Suite 4, Denver CO 80210. If you cannot access the building upon your arrival, call us at 303-871-4545 and we will be able to assist you. If you are an all-online student you may have your ID Card mailed to you; please contact us at pcard@du.edu for mailing assistance.

To determine whether you are cleared to come to campus, you may check your Covid Clearance status via Pioneerweb. Once you have logged in, under the "Home" tab, there will be a link titled "Campus Access Status" where you can see all the details of your Covid Clearance. If your status does not indicate "CLEARED", please email covidcoordinator@du.edu for assistance regarding your Covid Celarance status.
