About this Program

The AACSB-accredited Executive PhD cohort-based program at the Daniels College of Business provides a new opportunity to develop rigorous applied research skills necessary to address the complex problems facing business today. The program will integrate your career experience with a thorough education in quantitative analysis, qualitative analysis and mixed methods, teaching you to ­find powerful, data-driven business insights. You will also become an expert in disseminating high quality applied research in the series of research seminars completed during the first and second year.

This program will enable you to perform research in the specialty your choice and work closely with faculty who are top researchers in their fi­elds of expertise. Coursework in the first two years will be delivered through nine Friday and Saturday on-campus immersions and with live weekly discussions lead by professors. During your third year, you will complete an independent dissertation under the supervision of a dissertation committee. Students are required to travel to Denver to meet with their dissertation committee at least once per quarter.

About this Program

With a BA in Critical Race and Ethnic Studies, you'll examine race and ethnicity in social, political and cultural contexts that are both contemporary and historical. Our dynamic courses unpack race relations both in the U.S. and globally. Throughout your studies, you're encouraged to build on critical theory in the classroom by practicing ethically engaged citizenship. 

A deep understanding of race and ethnicity studies provides excellent training for careers in areas like business and law, education, journalism and the arts, social work and nonprofits, government and public policy agencies, and science and technology fields. We also offer a minor in Critical Race and Ethnic Studies.

Dr. Nancy "Rusty" Barceló

Barceló is the visiting special assistant to the chancellor for diversity at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She also serves on the advisory board for the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education. Prior to her position at the University of Illinois, Berceló served as the president of Northern New Mexico College.

Wes Moore

Moore is CEO of the Robin Hood Foundation, one of the largest anti-poverty forces in the nation. He is a bestselling author, a combat veteran and a social entrepreneur. Akil Bello

Bello has helped launch two companies, developed dozens of preparation programs for more than ten different high-stakes tests, trained hundreds of instructors, and helped thousands of student achieve success.

Dr. Claude Steele

Steele is a professor of psychology at Stanford University. He served as the 21st provost of Columbia University and has worked as a psychology professor at various universities for almost 40 years. Steele is known for his work on stereotype threat and its application to minority student academic performance.
