Life at DU

Financial Aid

We know that applying for financial aid can be tricky, so we’ve put together everything you’ll need to get going.

Visit DU

Seated at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, our campus is full of opportunities for exploration and adventure. Take a virtual tour, or visit in person and experience for yourself what makes Denver and DU a great place to call home.

Alum Lifts Up Community

University College alum Olga Garcia found a home at Museo de las Americas, the Denver-based museum and community center dedicated to Latino art and culture. “It’s much more than a museum; the backbone of this organization really is education,” says Garcia, who helped found the institution in 1991.

Access via Design

Three engineering students spent a year working to design and build an adaptive seat so a patient with paraplegia could participate in Denver's Dragon Boat Festival. The seat is the product of a long-running partnership between DU and Craig Hospital to provide options for people with spinal cord and brain injuries.

From Intern to Therapist

Alex Easterbrook took internships with the Mental Health Center of Denver and A.B. Counseling. She is now a therapist at A.B., working with sex offenders to improve treatment strategies.

Arts & Tech Intersect

DU's Emergent Digital Practices program brings together art, design, media, culture, technology and music research, embracing everything from socially conscious video games to public art and scholarly critique.

Day of Peace

We took time to celebrate the International Day of Peace with an interfaith ceremony, breakfast and discussion, and a kickoff celebration. We observe the event to bring awareness to the importance of global peace.

Leaders in the Community

For over 20 years, our Pioneer Leadership Program has helped students develop leadership skills. Now the program brings Denver leaders to campus so students can get to know them.

Global Day of Service

In the spirit of our commitment to improving our communities, our regional networks hosted a nationwide day of service for alumni, families and friends. One day can make a world of difference.
