DU Hosts Debate Event

More than 400 students from 70 universities across the country came to DU to participate in the U.S. University Debate Championship. Student volunteers helped make this the first zero waste national tournament.

Lacrosse Earns D2 Title

On May 7, 2016, the DU women’s club lacrosse team won their first title — the Women’s Club Lacrosse Association Division II National Championship. The team had a goal to win the championship, and they demonstrated remarkable toughness and commitment on the road toward the victory.

Balinese Music on Campus

The Lamont School of Music’s Expanding Horizons Initiative brought a night of Balinese music and dance performances to campus. In preparation, students took part in a unit on the music and culture of Bali.

Preserving the Spirit

After 20 years of operating as an independent nonprofit, the Spirituals Project found a home at our Lamont School of Music. The project works to preserve and revitalize the music of enslaved African Americans.

Momentum Scholarships

Chancellor Emerita Rebecca Chopp launched the Momentum Scholarship Challenge, a program that will endow $45 million in scholarship funding in an effort to eliminate the need gap for undergraduates.
