In China, Chancellor Emerita Rebecca Chopp caught a glimpse of the artistic-technological blend that will define the University's Law Institute of Arts and Technology. "They're the artists of the future," Chopp said.

Alums Fight Poverty

A 2006 service learning project inspired two University of Denver students to fight poverty at home in the Westwood neighborhood, one of Denver's poorest. When they found a major problem in limited access to healthy food, they developed a nonprofit that works with residents to build gardens and community urban farms.

Innovation Bootcamp at DU

The University of Denver’s Project X-ITE hosted Flight to Denver, a three-day bootcamp for technologists, engineers, scientists and other innovators. Together, they worked with experts from universities, the private sector, nonprofits and public sector groups to solve global problems like hunger and poverty.

Orientation

Discoveries Orientation takes place the week before fall classes start, and is your introduction to our campus community. You'll be able to meet your classmates, move into your first-year residence hall, learn more about DU's values and traditions, explore Denver and the DU campus, connect with on-campus resources, and more! At the end of the week, you'll be well prepared to transition into and make the most of your DU experience. 

Academic Information

We provide academic advising for all students to help you identify your goals and give you the support you need to achieve them. We just need you to send your final high school transcripts and take the language and math placement exams before you register for classes so we can get started.

Heart Valve Engineering

Since he joined the DU Cardiovascular Biomechanics Lab in 2014, Mostafa Abbasi has focused his research on design optimization of transcatheter heart valves to improve their structural and thermodynamic performance.

Meet Ali Mollahosseini

As part of his PhD project, Ali Mollahosseini aims to develop use of socially assistive robots for natural and robust emotive interaction and intervention with humans. He’s also a data scientist at Twitter.
