Drummers Teach Students

Students from Denver’s South High School received a rare opportunity when drummers from the Japanese group Kodo — in partnership with DU — performed and spent an hour teaching students from the school’s drumline.

Coding for Kids

DU takes part in Hour of Code, a global event designed to reach millions of kids to show them what it takes to create the programs they use every day and teach them that computer science is fun and creative.

DU alumna Amanda Mountain earned her master's in professional development in 2015. After graduation, she rose to the top of Colorado's corporate world as president and CEO of Rocky Mountain PBS.

2017 Summer Commencement

Over the summer, each member of DU’s Class of 2021 read J.D. Vance’s “Hillbilly Elegy” and replied to a written prompt. Students will use the book as a starting point to discuss issues of empathy, poverty and more.
