Putting the Femme in STEM
Dozens of girls from 20 schools across the Denver metro area gathered at our Colorado Women's College for a fun-filled day of science learning and exploration. The event, called Femme in STEM, is the brainchild of a group of five DU alumnae looking to strike a blow against the underrepresentation of women in STEM fields.
We've signed a commitment to the international community endorsing actions taken to address climate change in support of the Paris Agreement. The open letter calls upon mayors, governors, college and university leaders, investors and businesses to join together in support of climate action.

Iranian vampire film "A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night" inspired Prof. Bernadette Calafell and her advisee to examine depictions of Iranian women in the film. Instead of being a victim, graduate advisee Shadee Abdi saw the film's protagonist as, “kind of a superhero … really trying to do good and fight the patriarchy.”
Cancer Patient Psychology
