The recent weeks have been filled with excitement and high energy, as the hockey team brought home a national victory and the University launched our new portal, MyDU.

MarComm is proud to announce the launch of five sites for Student Affairs & Inclusive Excellence over the past month.

While trees are budding and flowers are blooming, days are getting longer and temperatures are getting warmer.

We’re 18 months into our journey to refocus and refresh DU’s brand.

As we bounce between winter and spring, our ongoing work to support University communications initiatives spans internal and external audiences.

Here in Denver, we were able to bask in the warmth of the sun for several days near the end of last month. March has the promise of spring, but right now, we’re facing snow and cold.

As Black History Month ends and we turn to National Women’s History Month, I look at the intersectionality of being a Black woman and feel like these two months are for me! I also believe Black History and Women’s History cannot be encapsulated within a set time.

The winter has brought forward many sunny and warm days, which I greatly enjoy. It has also brought many opportunities to problem-solve and utilize our MarComm-wide interdisciplinary talents!

As we saw the New Year gave way to a new month, MarComm began picking up the pace of our communications cadence. Over the course of the year, we plan to share the progress and the speedbumps that necessitate recalculations along our path.

Though February is the shortest month of the year, growing up in the Midwest, historically it also has been one of the most brutal with cold, gloomy days. Not my favorite season, which is why I choose to think positively: spring comes next month!

The new year of 2022 marks the beginning of a new phase in the reputation strategy work we have underway. Here’s a sneak peek into what’s in store for DU in the coming months. 

The year 2021 has been tremendous in so many ways—full of wins as well as the occasional speed bump. We are happy to share some highlights from the year.
