well@du fitness classes are open to DU faculty/staff at no cost.

 

 

power45 with colleen

Power45 with Colleen - Fit. Fun. Fast. 45 minutes of workout hitting every major muscle group, increasing your heart rate for a great aerobic workout without all the sweat! Get in, Get out and on with your day feeling energized and powered up! No registration necessary, just bring your water, a mat and a friend. Class will be held in Driscoll Student Center. Suite 1880 Room 135.

Tuesdays, January 9th - May 29th 

12:00pm - 12:45pm

Faculty / staff 6 week fitness challenge

Exclusively offered to DU faculty & staff and is designed for everyone, no matter where you are on your fitness journey! All participants will have access to pre & post challenge measurements (optional), 2 free 45 minutes weekly classes Monday and Wednesday from 11:30-12:15pm a combo of cardio and strength training, and a nutrition seminar with the professional fitness staff at the Coors Fitness Center. No membership required. Register via the Wellness Training Tab on Pioneer Web. Sign up with Coors for body assessments during the week of January 15th. Worth 800 portal points if you attend at least 8 sessions!

Mondays and Thursdays Beginning January 22nd - March 1

booiaka dance class

This class combines multiple genres of music and dance styles in an easy-to-learn choreography for all shapes and all ages of people! It includes steps that allow our bodies to naturally move to the beat. The progressive repetition of sassy "club-style" moves increase the cardio training making Booiaka® unique, intuitive and fun! 

Tuesdays through December 12th

4:00pm - 5:00pm

Location: Driscoll 145 (Suite 1864)

Vinyasa Yoga

A Vinyasa style series geared towards intermediate participants. Yoga "challenges", asana selection, and class focus will vary. 

Tuesdays through December

11:30am - 12:15pm 

Location: Studio D : Coors Fitness Center (gym membership not needed)

Instructor: Stephanie

Registration is not necessary.  Please bring a mat and water bottle.  Limited mats will be provided. You can award points on the wellmetrics portal for your attendance in this class. You do not need to be Coors Fitness Center member to attend. Simply let front desk know you are there for staff yoga.

 

Iyengar Yoga 

An Iyengar style series geared towards beginner participants. Yoga "challenges", asana selection, and class focus will vary.

Wednesdays through December

11:30am - 12:15pm 

Location: Studio D: Coors Fitness Center (gym membership not needed)

Instructor: Jessica Sherwood

Registration is not necessary.  Please bring a mat and water bottle.  Limited mats will be provided. You can award points on the wellmetrics portal for your attendance in this class. You do not need to be Coors Fitness Center member to attend. Simply let front desk know you are there for staff yoga.

The Knoebel Institute for Healthy Aging offers Tai Chi

Fridays from 1:00pm - 2:00pm

Location: ECS Rotunda event space on the 5th floor
