Incentive Program

At the University, we believe that your health is your greatest asset. To support you and your family in caring for that asset, we offer a significant premium credit for individuals who complete the Well-being Incentive Program. Your participation in this program is strictly voluntary.

To earn the premium credit for the 2021-2022 benefit plan year, you must accumulate 5,000 points in the Aduro portal by May 15, 2021. If your spouse/partner is covered under your plan, you must both accumulate 5,000 points.

Register or log in to the Aduro Portal at: You will need to use your email address and DU ID to activate or log in to your account. Your spouse/partner must use your DU ID with an S at the end (for example: 87xxxxxxxS) and any email address.


At this time, there are no changes to the program.

Challenges are being updated to ensure that points can still be accumulated by taking care of your well-being while at home.

Once your account is active, click any tiles that apply to your lifestyle. Many of these tiles are self-report. This means, after you click on the tile, a new window opens. Read the instructions to help complete the challenge. Once completed, hit TRACK. Once you hit TRACK, the points will immediately be uploaded into your points history.

Some tiles are Verified challenges. This means that some amount of proof must be emailed to, and points will be added to your account on the back-end. For example, the Performing and Fine Arts Tile requires emailing a ticket stub, photo of yourself at the event, or even a small description of the event. Once received, the total amount of points will be added to your account.

Occasionally we will hold benefits sessions and provide points for attending these sessions. Please make sure to register, as these registration attendance lists are entered and points are given.

Please note that not all tiles have associated points attached. The program's intent is to encourage thriving, healthy behaviors and to assist you on your well-being journey. Please check the lower right hand corner of each tile to see if points are listed. If there are no points listed, the tile has no points associated with its completion.

Incentives and Deadlines 

To support you and your family in caring for your well-being, DU offers a significant premium monthly credit for individuals on the DU benefits plan who complete the Wellness Incentive Program. 

To achieve the 2021-2022 premium incentive you must earn 5,000 points by May 15, 2021 which is the last day of Open Enrollment. The following year, you will receive a monthly premium medical insurance credit on your paychecks.

The benefit plan year: July 1 - June 30

Open Enrollment: May 1 - May 15.


Please note, if you need to make any benefit changes, you must file these changes from May 1 - May 15th. Please visit for more information.

If you have a spouse/partner on your DU benefit plan, they must also achieve 5,000 points for you both to qualify for the incentive. 

Those that have completed the program will then keep the premium credit through the following 2021 - 2022 year.


If your spouse/partner is covered with your plan, you must both complete the program to receive the premium incentive. That means your partner also needs to create an account on the portal and reach 5,000 points/ Gold Levels by May 15, 2021. Eligible Spouses/Partners (those on a DU employer's health plan) may use any email address and their Employee ID is their spouses' Employee ID with an S at the end. For example: 87xxxxxxxS


  • The credit will be divided among your pay checks from July 1 through June 30.
  • If your spouse/partner is covered by your plan, you both must complete the program by May 15, 2021, to receive the premium credit beginning July 1, 2021.


New hires or employees joining the plan mid-year through a qualifying event will receive the premium credit for the current benefit plan year. Please note, 30 days after your hire date you will receive an email with an activation code to register to begin participating in the program. 

Dependent upon when you join DU Benefits, there are different point amounts required. 

June 1, 2020 - December 1, 2020:     5,000 points needed

January 1, 2021 - March 1, 2021:       2,500 points needed

April 1, 2021 - July 1, 2021:              0 points needed

May 15, 2021 is the deadline to complete these points.

If a current health condition prevents you from participating in the wellbeing incentive program please contact as soon as possible in the program year to discuss an exemption.
